Field Service Technician – IT Refresh Project
Pay: $20/hour
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week (additional hours as project needs require)
Travel: Frequent travel required, including overnight stays 3–4 nights per week

About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on Field Service Technician to support a large-scale IT equipment refresh. In this role, you'll travel to client sites to install and remove laptops, desktops, thin clients, monitors, and related peripherals, while keeping accurate records of every device you touch. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys working independently, is comfortable on the road, and takes pride in doing detailed, careful work.

What You'll Do

• Install new laptops, desktops, thin clients, monitors, and peripherals at client locations
• Remove and transport decommissioned or surplus equipment to designated sites
• Accurately document and track inventory and asset data for every installation
• Complete and submit work orders, expense reports, and timesheets in a timely manner
• Serve as the on-site point of contact between our team and the client
• Travel to various client locations on a flexible schedule, including regular overnight stays
• Operate a company vehicle and maintain an organized equipment stock
• Perform final on-site configuration of installed equipment

What You'll Need

• Associate's degree in a computer-related field preferred, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in field service support and network/structured cabling
• 2+ years of experience with PC hardware, peripherals, and common operating systems/software
• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to accurately complete inventory paperwork and vendor documentation
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including weekends, off-hours, and overnight stays
• Excellent customer service and communication skills

This position operates on a standard 40-hour work week, with additional time required based on client and project demands. You'll be expected to follow established company procedures and standards for all work performed.
