Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Field Service Technician to perform field service activities at customer locations in a safe, professional, and efficient manner. This role is customer-facing and involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing mechanical and electrical systems while ensuring the highest standards of safety and service.
Job Description
- Perform field service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Diagnose equipment issues and implement effective solutions.
- Identify and address safety concerns involving both company and customer-owned equipment.
- Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety procedures and regulations.
- Provide professional customer service while working directly with clients at various job sites.
- Properly care for company tools, equipment, and property.
- Complete service documentation and communicate work performed.
- Travel to multiple customer locations as required.
- Shift: 7am-530pm, Monday-Thursday
Skills Required
- 1–3 years of technical or field service experience.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and smart devices.
- Ability to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, see, hear, and communicate effectively throughout the workday.
- Frequently use a computer, write, type, and operate mobile devices.
- Lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
- Climb stairs, bend, reach, push, pull, and perform other physical tasks as needed.
- Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including temperatures ranging from 0°F to 120°F.
- Comfortable working in environments with dust, dirt, concrete surfaces, and elevated noise levels where hearing protection may be required.
- Some travel to customer locations, meetings, and training seminars is required.
- This position involves working closely with customers and serves as the first line of technical service support.
- Flexibility to work overtime and adjust reporting locations based on operational needs is essential.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
Pay Rate
- $25 - $31 per hour (Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors)
