We are looking for a Service Technician to add to our team!
The job consist of :
assisting the Field Technicians with resolving both hardware and software issues (at customer site) working closely with Production, R&D and Back Office for technical evaluations
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software issues on installed equipment.
Provide remote and on-site technical assistance to customers.
Prepare technical reports and service documentation following interventions.
Update and configure PLC, HMI, SCADA, and related control software.
Install software patches and updates on existing systems.
Customize PLC logics and HMI interfaces based on customer requirements.
The candidate must have:
Solid understanding of mechatronic systems and industrial automation.
Hands-on experience with PLCs and hardware (Siemens essential; Rockwell,
Beckhoff, or similar preferred) and with HMI interfaces
Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
Familiarity with industrial programming languages (Ladder Diagram—LD,
Structured Control Language—SCL).
Good knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems and industrial networks
Availability to travel overnight (estimated time 40%-50%) on national basis (and Canada) for customers support and machine installation.
Preferred skills:
Ability to draft technical manuals, operational guides, and intervention reports.
Conduct technical training for customers on system operation and maintenance.
Maintain and update internal technical documentation (schematics, software
versions, configuration files).
Technical diploma or degree in Mechatronics, Automation, Electronics, or
similar field.
