Our client, a leader in clean energy and fuel cell technology, is seeking a Field Service Technician to join their team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be part of the Field Operations team supporting on-site service and maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong troubleshooting mindset, high integrity, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Field Service Technician (Fuel Cell)
Location: Vineland New Jersey
Pay Range: $35/hr , Plus Benefits- Bonus, Prevailing Wage, OT
Work Schedule & Coverage
- Day shift with split schedules: Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday
- Initial phase may require 6–7 days/week until team is fully staffed
- Transition to 24/7 on-call rotation once site is fully operational
- Flexibility required to support overtime and shift coverage needs
What’s the Job?
- Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of fuel cell systems at customer sites
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system issues and implement effective solutions
- Manage daily service tasks independently, including reporting and administrative duties
- Maintain service vehicle, tools, and spare parts inventory
- Collaborate with internal technical teams and build strong customer relationships
What’s Needed?
- High school diploma with 6+ years OR technical certification with 4+ years of relevant electrical/electromechanical experience
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills across systems such as 3-phase power, UPS, and distribution systems
- Backgrounds such as military (electronics, aviation, Navy Nuke, electromagnetic), HVAC (electrical/mechanical systems, flow rates, pressures), appliances (pressure switches, thermal cutouts, safety devices), or lead automotive technician highly preferred
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and blueprints; experience with diagnostic/test equipment
- Self-directed, high-integrity professional with ability to work independently, travel up to 25%, and support flexible shifts/on-call rotation
