You will be at the forefront of maintaining operational excellence, directly influencing the performance and reliability of our innovative systems.What You'll Do:Serve as the primary technical point of contact for real-time escalations concerning powertrain and vehicle dynamics issues, providing immediate and impactful support.Conduct in-depth root cause analysis to implement both interim and permanent corrective actions, ensuring long-term system stability.Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to powertrain performance, energy consumption, and charging systems.Develop and maintain comprehensive troubleshooting guides for powertrain components, empowering field technicians and fostering knowledge sharing across teams.Validate and perform component and vehicle bring-up/functional verification procedures, with a dedicated focus on powertrain systems.Tune and validate powertrain control parameters to optimize performance and efficiency, pushing the boundaries of autonomous technology.Analyze large datasets to proactively identify systematic issues and recommend preventative actions, contributing to a more robust and reliable fleet.Be available for night and weekend shifts as needed, with advanced notice provided, to support continuous operations.Be willing to travel occasionally to support various operational locations, ensuring consistent fleet performance across our network.Must-Have Qualifications:Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in transportation, aerospace, or autonomous vehicles, with a specific focus on powertrain, energy storage, or charging systems.Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Automotive Engineering.Ability to safely troubleshoot low voltage and high voltage systems.Hands‑on experience with powertrain systems, including but not limited to electric motors, inverters, and battery management systems.Deep understanding of electric vehicle (EV) technology and powertrain control strategies.Proficiency in vehicle dynamics and control systems.Proficiency with interpreting electrical schematics, harness diagrams, and state machine diagrams.Experience with debugging Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS) issues.Embrace a holistic problem‑solving approach, identifying issues across high‑level vehicle functions and driving resolutions down to component‑level detail.A proactive self‑starter who can build strong relationships and communicate efficiently and effectively across various teams and in real‑time service operation settings.Nice-to-Have Qualifications:Experience with powertrain simulation software (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, ADAMS).Familiarity with CAN bus messaging specific to powertrain and charging systems.Experience with electric vehicle technology.Knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostics tools.Experience with remotely supporting vehicle troubleshooting.Experience with Linux programming systems for fleet‑level data processing.Experience with GPS/RTS debugging.About Aquent Talent:Aquent Talent connects the best talent in marketing, creative, and design with the world's biggest brands.Our eligible talent get access to amazing benefits like subsidized health, vision, and dental plans, paid sick leave, and retirement plans with a match.Aquent is an equal‑opportunity employer.
