POSITION SUMMARY
Brandise Construction is seeking a dynamic, organized, and experienced Field Superintendent to oversee and manage commercial construction projects in the field while providing professional representation to our clients and customers. The Field Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of the jobsite, subcontractors, field personnel, schedule, quality, safety, materials, and project documentation. The successful candidate will work closely with Project Managers, General Superintendent, subcontractors, vendors, clients, and other members of the construction team in a busy, team-oriented environment rooted in open communication, accountability, and professional growth.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage field personnel, including work schedules, project progress, and resource allocation.
- Oversee all activities of the construction site and coordinate work according to project plans and schedules.
- Coordinate and direct subcontractors and Project Foremen as part of the project team.
- Perform quality control of all aspects of construction and ensure quality workmanship.
- Perform jobsite safety checks and support Brandise safety requirements and procedures.
- Resolve day-to-day field obstacles and communicate issues requiring Project Manager or management involvement.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, General Superintendent, subcontractors, and other construction team members regarding project schedules, budgets, and field conditions.
- Provide on-site direction during project mobilization and preparation of construction sites.
- Maintain organized and complete job-related documentation and project files, including a daily log of jobsite operations.
- Support cost control and profitability throughout the life of the project.
- Facilitate prompt completion of punch list items and final project sign-off.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with existing clients and contribute to positive client relationships and future business opportunities.
- Develop hands-on familiarity with project sites through regular site visits, project meetings, and field coordination.
- Conduct project meetings and prepare or participate in weekly toolbox talks and safety meetings.
- Maintain stringent inventory control and monitor materials and equipment on site through documentation and photos.
- Coordinate material and equipment deliveries with vendors and suppliers.
- Implement field management techniques that are cost-effective, efficient, and consistent with Brandise procedures and company SOPs.
- Coordinate inspections and ensure the field is prepared for required inspections.
- Monitor project progress and communicate schedule concerns, delays, material issues, and outstanding work to the General Superintendent and Project Manager.
- Support continuity among work teams by performing other duties as assigned.
- Contribute to the overall team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong history of commercial field construction and ensuring quality workmanship.
- In-depth understanding of construction plans, drawings, specifications, addendums, and project requirements.
- Strong supervision, delegation, and subcontractor coordination skills.
- Strong understanding of quality management and project cost controls.
- Ability to manage project profitability and identify potential cost impacts in the field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional demeanor and ability to maintain effective relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, project team members and inspectors.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle pressure, resolve problems, and make sound day-to-day field decisions.
- Knowledge of material and supply management.
- Familiarity with ADA requirements and applicable construction requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple projects or project activities simultaneously.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous verifiable experience as a commercial construction Superintendent or comparable field leadership role.
- Experience with project cost control, budgeting, and managing project profitability.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel and Raken.
- Experience with construction scheduling, project management, and project takeoff software.
- Able to read and interpret plans.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.

Compensation - $90,000-120,000 DOE
