The Process Waste Mechanical Superintendent will report to the Project Superintendent and Mechanical Construction Manager. The Process Waste Mechanical Superintendent will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish, ensuring supervision of the mechanical project team, scheduling, submitting RFI's, providing a safe working environment, and overseeing QA/QC programs. The Process Waste Mechanical Superintendent will supervise multiple mechanical subcontractors performing extensive fast-tracked scope on multiple large semiconductor buildings. This position is fully onsite at our project in Boise, ID.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000 DOE + Incentives
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate day-to-day activities with other superintendents, mechanical subcontractors, and other discipline subcontractors.
- Supervise multiple subcontractors and craft employees.
- Maintain and adjust project schedule daily.
- Manage RFI's (requests for information) and submittal materials for review with the Owner/Architect.
- Manage and oversee our cost control and QA/QC program.
- Manage and abide by all safety protocols.
- Provide resolution to design and constructability issues.
- Respond to customer/client requests and/or issues and develop resolution to problems using technical expertise.
- Must be able to interpret and implement proper installations in compliance with all local authority permitting, codes and site specifications.
- Provide supporting information regarding field conditions and scope for cost estimates.
- Facilitate contractor activity ensuring performance by all contractual agreements.
- Assist with management project staffing.
- Work closely with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- A minimum of five (5) years'' mechanical construction experience.
- Extensive experience on large industrial and hi-tech fabrication projects.
- Extensive experience in Hi Purity Bulks gases and chemicals.
- Extensive experience on large industrial and hi-tech fabrication projects with specific area experience such as Fab, Subfab, Cleanroom, Tool, Jungle Gym, Utility and Process Systems.
- Demonstrate thorough understanding of all aspects of mechanical wet or dry construction.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent degree and/or equivalent craft level work experience.
- Education background in materials and methods of mechanical construction.
- OHSA 30 Certification.
- Must be familiar with mechanical installations on large mechanical and process equipment, and installations in cleanroom environments.
- Experience in organizing technical data in a neat and accurate method; familiar with CSI specification system for construction.
- Proficient in Windows, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and Bluebeam.
- Experience with project management software such as Prolog, Procore, E-Builder, Microsoft Project, and Primavera Project Planner (P6).
- Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
- Ability to work closely with trade and craft people in a field work situation. Patience and professionalism are essential to being able to maintain a cooperative attitude through pressure situations.
- Skills in handling several work activities at once while frequently interrupted by phone calls and urgent questions on work in progress.
- Training in design and construction document reading, design specifications, survey theory and techniques.
- Highly developed visual observation and interpretation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to work closely with project owners, architects, engineers, equipment manufacturers, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Must be a dedicated team player, self-starter, flexible and be able to work well with a variety of personalities and minimal instruction. Must be able to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
- Must be able to physically access all areas and levels of construction site for work progress review.
- Work schedule must be flexible to allow extended hours or off-shift work to accommodate changing construction schedule and sequences.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Must be able to climb stairs: 50% of day.
- Hands/Arms: constant use of hands/fingers for mouse/keyboard/computer use.
- Sight: visual acuity in near, mid, and far range vision. Color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, hand/eye coordination.
- Hearing: Sufficient to hear conversational levels in person and over the telephone.
- Speech: Sufficient to make oneself heard in person, speak in front of groups, and be understood over the telephone and radio.
- Lift/Carry: Up to 50lbs - Frequent.
- Bending/Twisting: Frequent.
- Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling: Minimal.
- Constant mental alertness, accuracy, and attention to detail required.
- Must be able to work independently, make decisions, and follow through on all assignments.
- Must use creativity, independent judgment, and organizational and problem-solving skills to determine best method to accomplish desired results.
- Must be able to plan and organize work.
- Must possess strong organizational and computer use skills and have a high level of competency to read/write/speak English, interpret construction related documentation and communicate with coworkers.
