Field Supervisor

Reports To: Director of Field Execution

Department: Field Operations

Position Summary

The Field Supervisor is responsible for leading installation crews to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards. This role oversees daily field operations, enforces productivity expectations, supports schedule adherence, and drives accountability at the crew level. The Field Supervisor serves as the primary bridge between the field teams and office operations, ensuring alignment between project scope, scheduling, and execution.

Key Responsibilities

Field Leadership & Crew Oversight

  • Supervise installation crews across multiple active job sites
  • Provide daily direction and support to crew leads and installers
  • Ensure crews understand project scope, timelines, and quality expectations
  • Conduct job site visits to monitor progress and performance
  • Reinforce company standards, culture, and accountability
  • Ensures compliance with company systems and processes

Productivity & Labor Management

  • Monitor labor hours vs. budgeted hours
  • Identify and correct productivity gaps in real time
  • Improve crew efficiency and minimize downtime between jobs
  • Support workforce allocation in coordination with scheduling
  • Provide feedback on installer performance and development needs

Quality & Execution Standards

  • Ensure work meets company and client quality standards
  • Reduce rework through proactive oversight
  • Verify job completion requirements before closeout
  • Partner with PM team to resolve field-related scope questions

Scheduling & Communication

  • Maintain close communication with Director of Field Execution, Project Managers, and Quality Control Manager
  • Proactively flag resource conflicts or delays
  • Escalate material shortages or access issues immediately
  • Support on-time start and on-time completion targets

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce safety policies and job site compliance standards
  • Conduct regular safety checks
  • Address unsafe behavior immediately
  • Support incident documentation and reporting

Contractor Oversight (If Applicable)

  • Monitor subcontractor performance
  • Ensure contractors meet productivity and quality standards
  • Provide performance feedback to Director of Field Execution

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in installation, construction, or field operations leadership
  • Experience leading multiple crews simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of labor planning and productivity metrics
  • Ability to read and interpret project scope documents
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
