\nOverview:
\nJoin a market-leading healthcare organization supporting the Federal Employee Program (FEP) during the annual open enrollment season. As an Open Season Field Support Representative, you will act as a brand ambassador out in the field, engaging directly with federal employees, postal workers, and military installation personnel. Your core mission is to educate potential and existing members on health, dental, and vision plan offerings, highlighting key plan differentiators to drive member retention and new member acquisition.
\nKey Responsibilities:
\n• Represent the health plan in person at agency health fairs, postal facility events, and community gatherings across the DMV region.
\n• Engage face-to-face with federal and postal employees to present medical, dental, and vision coverage options.
\n• Educate prospective members on complex insurance concepts including deductibles, copays, co-insurance, and out-of-pocket maximums.
\n• Differentiate company benefit options against competing regional plans to emphasize overall value.
\n• Transport and set up event collateral, promotional materials, and display tables at designated health fair sites.
\n• Collaborate with internal Account Consultants during shadow weeks and field execution to ensure smooth site logistics.
\n• Complete administrative tasks on non-event days (typically Mondays and Fridays), including expense reporting and plan review.
\nRequired Qualifications:
\n• 2+ years of face-to-face, client-facing sales, event marketing, or field engagement experience.
\n• Functional knowledge of health insurance terminology, plan structures, and benefit designs (medical, dental, vision).
\n• Ownership of a reliable personal vehicle for daily travel across the MD/DC/VA region and transportation of event materials.
\n• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate benefit details clearly to diverse audiences.
\n• Ability to pass facility/military base security checks (providing required identification and vehicle information).
\n• Ability to travel to assigned locations across MD, DC, and Northern VA, working variable schedules during Open Season (including early mornings, evenings, or weekends).
\nPreferred Qualifications:
\n• Prior experience working specifically within health, dental, or vision insurance sales or benefit administration.
\n• Experience navigating military installations or government agency facilities in the DMV area.
