About the Role
As a Field Services Technician, you'll be responsible for installing access points and completing physical and wireless site surveys. You'll need to maintain accurate inventory, ticket management, and asset records before and during each installation.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Install and support wireless access points at customer locations
- Manage all on-site installations
- Perform all on-site activities related to installation, configuration, and testing
- Complete physical and wireless site surveys at customer locations
- Prepare and update work orders, expense reports, and timesheets for respective departments
- Serve as a liaison between our team and the customer
- Travel to customer locations with a flexible work schedule, including possible after-hours or early-morning installations with proper notice
- Operate a company vehicle and maintain equipment stock
Qualifications
Education- AAS degree in computer science preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience- 2+ years supporting field services and network cabling
- 2+ years working with PC systems, peripherals, structured cabling, and common software/operating systems
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Skills- Accurate, detail-oriented inventory and asset record-keeping
- Willingness to travel, including occasional weekend departures, off-hours travel, and overnight stays
- Ability to complete final configuration tasks on customer premises
- Strong customer service and communication skills
