    Job Description

    Schneider Geomatics is currently looking to add a Field Tech I (Instrument Operator) to our Development Services team.

    The ideal candidate will have the following qualities:
    • High school diploma or GED, required.
    • Candidate should possess good written and verbal communication skills.
    • Good interpersonal skills to facilitate good relationships with clients and team members.
    • High aptitude in mathematics and willingness to learn land surveying technology.
    • Candidate should be self-disciplined.
    • Ability to perform tasks quickly and accurately as instructed.
    • Position may require periodically working out of town.
    • Good driving record and drug testing are required for this position.
    • Ability to carry 50 lbs. and work outdoors in all environmental conditions.
     
    Essential Duties Include:
    • Take resource information and supervisor instructions to efficiently complete field surveying tasks assigned.
    • Follow industry and company standards and procedures.
    • Process and check field data.
    • Document in field notes each project according to company standards.
    • Provide responsible care for vehicles and equipment.
    • Occasional out of town travel may be required.
