Job Description
We are seeking a Field Technical Support Consultant III to join our team supporting HP PC and Printer break/fix services. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in on-site hardware diagnosis and repair across laptops, desktops, RPOS, workstations, and printers and a proven ability to resolve customer issues efficiently while meeting contractual and financial objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site break/fix support for HP PCs, printers, and peripherals.
- Configure hardware, software, and simple network components.
- Execute unit repairs, part replacements, and alignments using proper tools and procedures.
- Collaborate with escalation teams to implement technical action plans to remediate PC/print issues.
- Educate customers on technology use and maintenance while managing expectations on-site.
- Prioritize and manage multiple service events in a fast-paced environment.
- Complete required administrative tasks with accuracy and timeliness.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Technical and mechanical proficiency in PC and printer hardware repair.
- Ability to troubleshoot logically and systematically, including basic networks and third-party software interactions.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills for customer-facing work.
- Attention to detail and commitment to documentation and administrative responsibilities.
- Ability to balance priorities, make sound business decisions, and understand financial impacts of service delivery.
- Capability to lift and move up to 50 pounds; ability to bend, crawl, stoop, and sit as needed for on-site work.
- Availability for scheduled and unscheduled overtime, holidays, and non-traditional shifts.
- High School diploma or equivalent with additional hardware technology training; college preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Hands-on experience with HP printers and alignment apparatus.
- Familiarity with RPOS and workstation platforms.
