Field Technician Responsibilities: On-site installations (boiler controls) On-site troubleshooting controller boxes Internet configuration (all boilers are connected to the internet) Product support Customer relations
Field Technician Qualifications: At least 1 year of experience with building management systems OR 2 years of experience in technical field work Familiarity with boiler control wiring, low voltage cabling, and working knowledge of conduit, fittings, and line voltage wiring The desire to learn and develop a deep knowledge of Building Automation Systems using advanced products of a major automation system manufacturer The desire for continued career development, product knowledge, varied industry experience Good communication and customer relationship skills Ability to use hand tools and power tools Ability to work on a team under the direction of senior engineers and managers Current, valid, and clean NYS driver's license (7 years clean driving record) to drive company vehicles OSHA 30 or 40 training a plus New job specific skills will be taught with on-the-job experience.
Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time
The customers we support include large and small commercial facilities, hotels, hospitals, multi-family residential, schools, and many others. Work is primarily in the NY City Metropolitan area, and we are actively developing customers in other cities.
