STH is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to perform the inspection, diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and startup of industrial pumps, rotating equipment, motors, and associated control systems. This position requires a mechanically inclined technician who can independently troubleshoot equipment issues, perform repairs in the field, and provide technical support to customers.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with pump repair, rotating equipment, and electrical controls troubleshooting. This role offers opportunities for growth and ongoing technical training while supporting a diverse customer base across commercial, industrial, and government facilities.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial pumps and rotating equipment.
Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble pumps, motors, and related mechanical systems.
Troubleshoot electrical control panels and motor control systems to identify equipment failures.
Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections at customer sites.
Conduct equipment startups, testing, and performance evaluations.
Document service activities, findings, and recommendations accurately.
Communicate technical information and repair recommendations to customers.
Coordinate with internal service, parts, and operations teams to ensure timely completion of work.
Maintain a safe work environment and follow all company and customer safety requirements.
Build strong customer relationships through professional service and technical expertise.
Mechanical experience with industrial pumps, rotating equipment, or related machinery.
Experience disassembling and reassembling mechanical equipment.
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical system failures.
Experience troubleshooting electrical controls and control panels.
Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer locations.
Pump repair experience.
Electrical motor shop experience.
Experience with industrial controls and motor control systems.
Previous field service experience in industrial, municipal, or commercial environments.
Many STH customers operate highly secure facilities. Candidates must be able to meet stringent background screening requirements and obtain access to restricted sites when required.
