Job Title: Field Technician - Sewer Flow Monitoring and Utility Infrastructure
Job Description
This role focuses on installing, calibrating, and maintaining sewer flow monitors and rainfall monitoring equipment, as well as collecting and validating field data that supports water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will work primarily in the field as part of a small team, often alongside a expereinced field representative, performing hands-on tasks in outdoor and confined-space environments. The position offers structured safety training, ongoing technical development, and clear pathways for growth, including opportunities for recent graduates to progress into leadership roles after gaining field experience.

Work Environment
This is a field-based position centered in the Baltimore metropolitan area, with work typically scheduled Monday through Thursday. The standard schedule follows a four-day workweek of four 10-hour shifts (4x10s), providing three days off each week. Start times generally range between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., with 40 hours per week guaranteed and opportunities for additional overtime (up to 10 hours) depending on project needs. Daily work takes place outdoors and in sewer environments, including manholes and other confined spaces, and requires comfort working in both cold and hot weather, as well as in dirty and wet conditions. Job sites are typically about one hour from the base location; for sites four hours or more away, lodging is provided. Travel is required but is described as minimal relative to extended stays away from the home area. You will work as part of a field team and will not work alone; new hires are paired with experienced field representatives and supported by field leadership. The organization emphasizes safety and provides comprehensive safety training, including first day safety orientation at the Hanover, MD office and First Aid and CPR training. The environment is hands-on, fast-paced, and productivity-focused, with performance measured by the ability to complete work on time, install equipment correctly, and record data accurately. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
