IDR is seeking a Field Technician II to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Atlanta, GA. This role involves field-based work with heavy travel, supporting the installation, troubleshooting, and testing of CCTV and low-voltage systems at customer sites. The company specializes in security and technology solutions within a dynamic, fast-paced industry.
Position Overview for the Field Technician II:
- Serve as a lead onsite; direct, inspect, and audit technicians work as needed
- Perform complete installation and service work at customer sites (install/configure/troubleshoot/test) based on schedule
- Provide timely updates/deliverables to project teams and support centers; act as a point of escalation for client issues and drive resolution when possible
- Help train less experienced technicians and support administrative task coaching
- Complete required job administration accurately and on time
Requirements for the Field Technician II:
- 2+ years as a Technician I (or equivalent low-voltage experience)
- Low-voltage installation/service: install, configure, troubleshoot, test onsite
- Proficiency in 5 of these 10 areas: Voice, Data, Fire Alarm, Fiber, Burg Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, Digital Signage, Access Points, Networking
- Industry manufacturer certifications or structured cabling experience
- BICSI Installer 1 certification (must complete/maintain), OSHA 30, LIFT, local installer licenses/cards, HIPAA Training (must complete)
- Knowledge across technologies such as CCTV, intrusion, fire alarm, access control, networking
- Microsoft Suite basics (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word) + general laptop proficiency
- Strong communication (written/verbal), organization, attention to detail
- Self-starter; problem-solver; able to run field work with minimal oversight
- Strong customer service mindset; able to handle stress and multitask
