Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Environmental sampling of soil, water, groundwater, and air
- Perform a wide variety of field duties for both routine/scheduled and emergency environmental projects to include: inspection, maintenance, monitoring, construction oversight, air monitoring, and sampling efforts at the project sites
- Completes detailed, accurate field notes, photographs, and field sketches and prepares daily field reports in a timely manner
- Collects samples from the field (soil, groundwater, surface water, drinking water, etc.) in accordance with established procedures
- Maintains and operates field equipment/instrumentation as needed in accordance with specified procedures
Experience and Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of field experience
• B.S. in environmental science, biology, or related field is preferred
• 1 - 2 years of wetland delineation experience is preferred• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently if required.• Strong team-player skills.• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.• Ability and willingness to travel regionally and overnight 50-75% of the time (including working outdoors in adverse weather conditions)
• Excellent technical writing and oral communication skills
• Attention to detail along with strong organizational skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and aptitude
• Positive attitude; good interpersonal skills
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and will be subject to random drug & alcohol testing.
• Follow all safety and security procedures.
• Ensures the safety of all crew members, clients, and the public
• Represent Sphere 3 Environmental while interfacing with public and private sector clients and the general public.
