Field Technician – Metal Roofing & Siding Installation
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM
Overtime: Possible OT as needed
Travel: Local job-site travel required
Position Overview
We are looking for a Field Technician to join our team performing the installation of metal roofing and siding at various job sites. This is a hands-on position that is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, traveling to different locations, and working with tools and equipment.
Previous metal roofing, siding, construction, or installation experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn.
Experience with welding, fabrication, construction, or other hands-on mechanical work is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Travel to customer and construction job sites to perform metal roofing and siding installations
- Measure, cut, fit, and install metal roofing and siding materials
- Use hand tools, power tools, and various equipment to complete installations
- Assist with layout, preparation, and fabrication of materials at job sites
- Follow installation specifications and ensure finished work meets quality standards
- Troubleshoot installation issues and determine practical solutions
- Perform basic welding or metalworking tasks when needed
- Safely load, unload, and transport tools and materials
- Work alongside other technicians and contractors to complete projects efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all company and job-site safety procedures
- Assist with other duties as needed
Requirements
- Previous roofing, siding, construction, fabrication, installation, or mechanical experience preferred but not required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new tools, equipment, and installation techniques
- Comfortable using hand tools and power tools
- Welding experience is a plus
- Ability to read measurements and follow instructions
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable working at heights and in varying outdoor conditions
- Ability to travel to different job sites as required
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Ability to work overtime when needed
- Ability to lift and move materials as required
- Flexible attitude and willingness to help wherever needed

The most important qualities are mechanical aptitude, reliability, flexibility, and a willingness to learn. Someone who may not have direct metal roofing experience but has strong hands-on skills and the right attitude can be trained for the position.
