Location: Morristown, NJ Duration: 2 years Responsibilities: Conduct inspections of steel structure foundations and repairs. Perform substation foundation and repair inspections. Oversee wood pole treatment and testing methods. Oversee steel structure coating crews. Evaluate transmission structures to assess the health of electrical circuits. Assess storm damage and support emergency restoration crews. Requirements: 5 years of active field experience. Proficient in computer skills for daily and weekly report documentation. Experience with photo documentation and working knowledge of Word and Excel. Travel requirement based on project location. Minimum 5 years, preferably 7 years, of knowledge in transmission line work, foundations, and stringing of conductors, and transmission substations and facilities. Knowledge of QA/QC inspections and reporting practices. Knowledge of various electronics used to create reports. Preferred Skills: Current and valid driver’s license. US Citizenship. Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications. Proficient in verbal and written communication. Ability to create detailed reports. Physical Requirements: Occasional overtime may be required. Able and willing to travel in OH, PA, Virginia, WV, Jersey, Maryland, based on current location. Ability to drive to job location as part of the workday. Must be able to wear company-provided PPE for the entire shift while onsite, including hard hat, safety vest, safety glasses, FR clothing, steel toe boots, protective shoes, overshoes, and insect repellent when necessary. Able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs or more at any given time throughout the day. Must be able to walk up to 3 miles per day across rough terrain and/or unlevel surfaces.A
