Immediate need for a talented Field Technician. This is a 24+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Southfield, MI, (Onsite). Key Responsibilities: Responsible for the proper operation of a large group of Network Elements. Duties in support of interdepartmental objectives, to support the activation of new sites and integration of network hardware and interconnect facilities. Other responsibilities include testing and analyzing network coverage to ensure contiguous communication and network integrity and quality; updating daily logs with site-specific information; composing clear and concise reports for system documentation; and performing activation tasks as required by Local, Regional, Area, Corporate or Regulatory agencies Key Requirements and Technology Experience: Key Skills; Telecom connectivity design, HVAC, Troubleshooting Familiar with telecom connectivity designs and able to troubleshoot as required - 1-3 years. Computer skills - able to use applications to monitor the network and communicate to other teams and vendors. 3-5 years Building system knowledge - understand power and HVAC systems enough to work with vendors to resolve issues - 1 - 3 years Our client is a leading Telecommunications Industry and we are currently interviewing to fill this and other similar contract positions.
