    Job Description

    Step into the Field

Start your day with the keys to a company vehicle and a work plan that spans South Carolina. Based from Irmo, SC 29063 (though you don’t need to live in Irmo), you’ll travel to job sites where your craftsmanship keeps projects on schedule and up to spec. If you take pride in precise, durable welds and enjoy seeing your work perform in the real world, this role is for you.

    How you’ll work

    • Arrive on site, review drawings, and confirm welding requirements by reading blueprints, technical plans, and job specifications.
    • Select and set up the correct process—MIG, flux-cored (Flux), or stick—then execute clean, consistent welds on a range of materials.
    • Operate with safety first: follow established procedures and regulations for equipment and site conditions.
    • Inspect your own work, verify measurements and tolerances, and ensure every bead meets project and industry standards.
    • Partner with supervisors and teammates to troubleshoot fit-up, distortion, or equipment issues and keep work moving.
    • Support mechanical tasks as needed—installation, takeaway, and repair of mechanical machinery—and bring a hands-on mindset to each assignment.
    • Wrap up with a tidy, organized work area and well-maintained tools, then log your progress and prepare for what’s next.
    • Keep building your skill set through ongoing training and development opportunities.

    Travel and logistics

    • All travel costs are covered and per diem is involved. More information will be given throughout the interview process.
    • A company vehicle is given.
    • You do not have to be directly located in Irmo. Anyone in the South Carolina area is encouraged to apply.
    • More information surrounding the travel will be given throughout the interview process.

    What you bring

    • High school diploma or equivalent; technical welding certification preferred.
    • Proven welding experience with a portfolio of completed work.
    • Proficiency with MIG, flux-cored (Flux), and stick welding processes.
    • Sharp attention to detail and pride in high-quality results.
    • Comfort working solo or with a crew in a fast-moving environment.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and flexibility when project needs change.
    • Valid driver’s license and readiness to travel to different job sites as needed.
    • Mechanical experience with install, takeaway, or repair of machinery is a strong plus.
