A fifth grade math teacher is responsible for delivering data-driven math instruction aligned with state standards. Core Responsibilities
- Instruction & Planning: Design and deliver engaging daily lesson plans that meet Tennessee Academic Standards.
- Data Analysis: Analyze both qualitative and quantitative student data (including TVAAS metrics and district benchmark assessments) to drive small-group, differentiated instruction.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment that promotes student engagement and emotional growth.
- Collaboration: Partner with grade-level teams, special education teachers, and administration. Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress.
- Compliance & Duties: Maintain accurate student records, fulfill supervisory duties, and complete required professional development.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, though a Master's degree is highly preferred.
- Licensure: Must hold or be eligible to obtain a valid Tennessee Department of Education teaching license.
