Filter Room Operator
Job Location: Sonoma, California
Job Type: Temporary
Pay Rate: $19.50-$20/hour
Schedule: Monday - Sunday; 5 to 6 days/week, 5am-1:30pm (days may vary)
Description of Position:
Do you have experience as a machine operator? A well-established cheese and yogurt manufacturing company in Petaluma is seeking reliable and dependable Machine Operators / Production Associates to support daily production operations. This hands-on role includes packaging, palletizing, product handling, and equipment cleaning in a dynamic food production environment. This assignment is scheduled to end in September but could extend long depending on business demands.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare filter bags for production
- Clean filter bags using bag washer equipment
- Hang filter bags on hooks and organize onto filter carts
- Assist with preparing tanks for curd transfer
- Transfer curd from bags into mixers
- Unload curd from mixers into buggies
- Weigh and label curd according to production recipes
- Perform daily inventory checks of the curd cooler
- Assist with packaging, boxing, palletizing, and sorting product
- Support end-of-day equipment cleaning and sanitation
- Perform additional production duties as assigned

Experience Required:
- Previous machine operator or production experience preferred
- Experience in food manufacturing or dairy production is a plus
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment
- Comfortable performing repetitive tasks and following production procedures
- Strong attention to detail and safety practices
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move materials as needed throughout shift
- Comfortable working in a production and refrigerated environment
