Job Details

The Final Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all finished products meet internal quality standards, customer specifications, and applicable industry requirements before shipment. This role is a critical checkpoint in the production process, serving as the last line of defense in delivering defect-free, precision-manufactured components to some of the most quality-sensitive customers in the world.

Key Responsibilities

Perform thorough visual and dimensional inspections on finished flexible circuits, rigid flex circuits, and flexible heaters prior to shipment
Verify that all products conform to customer drawings, specifications, and internal workmanship standards
Reference and apply IPC-A-600 and IPC-A-610 standards during inspection processes
Identify, document, and disposition non-conforming product through the NCR process
Communicate inspection findings clearly to production, engineering, and quality teams
Maintain accurate inspection records, traveler documentation, and shipment verification logs
Support first article inspections (FAI) and customer-specific quality requirements
Work with QA leadership to identify recurring defect trends and contribute to root cause and corrective action initiatives
Ensure proper packaging and labeling standards are met prior to product release
Uphold compliance requirements related to ITAR, MIL-SPEC, AS9100, and ISO 9001 as applicable

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of inspection experience in a precision or electronics manufacturing environment
Familiarity with flexible circuits, printed circuit boards, or related electronic assemblies strongly preferred
Working knowledge of IPC-A-600 and/or IPC-A-610 standards; IPC certification a plus
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and customer specifications
Experience using inspection tools such as microscopes, calipers, and optical comparators
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to zero-defect quality outcomes
Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management systems preferred
Experience working in ITAR-controlled or defense/aerospace manufacturing environments a plus
Solid written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document findings clearly and concisely
Ability to work independently, manage inspection queues efficiently, and escalate issues appropriately
