Prior experience in PCB fabrication or quality inspection preferred.
Knowledge of IPC-A-600 standards (Acceptability of Printed Boards) required.
Strong attention to detail and ability to detect visual and dimensional defects.
Ability to read and interpret customer drawings, work instructions, and travelers.
Familiarity with inspection equipment (microscopes, calipers, gauges).
Perform final inspection of completed PCBs to ensure compliance with IPC standards, customer drawings, and internal specifications.
Verify critical dimensions, hole sizes, plating quality, solder mask, legend, surface finish, and overall workmanship.
Inspect boards for cosmetic defects such as scratches, dents, solder mask misregistration, and contamination.
Use microscopes, magnifiers, calipers, and other precision tools to confirm product quality.
Review and complete all inspection documentation and traveler paperwork.
Tag and segregate nonconforming material and communicate issues to the QA team and Production.
Ensure traceability and accurate record-keeping for inspected lots.
Support continuous improvement by providing feedback on recurring issues or process deviations.
Maintain a clean, organized inspection area in compliance with safety and quality requirements.
