Finance & Accounting - Analyst Capital Expenditure Join to apply for the Finance & Accounting - Analyst Capital Expenditure role at Apex SystemsFinance & Accounting - Analyst Capital Expenditure 2 days ago Be among the first 25 applicantsJoin to apply for the Finance & Accounting - Analyst Capital Expenditure role at Apex SystemsCapital Expenditure Accounting AnalystJob#: 2082815Job Description:Capital Expenditure Accounting AnalystLocation: Hybrid (2-3 days/week on site - Mondays mandatory, other days flexible) in Memphis, TNPay Rate: $31/hr. with some flexibility dependent upon experienceDuration: 3-month contract at this timeJob Description: Our Finance team serves as a critical business partner responsible for managing all global activities related to financial performance, accounting, tax, forecasting, risk management, and asset management.What will I be doing?The Analyst, Capital Expenditures (CAPEX) will support the Manager and Senior Analyst with the monitoring, reporting, and forecasting of capital expenditures, support funding requests and project close-outs, and perform various other activities supporting fixed asset accounting related activities, such as the monitoring and forecasting of capital expenditures for projects being executed across a portfolio of properties.Monitor capital expenditures against established budgetsPrepare weekly project status updates and monthly project expenditure reportsDevelop periodic project financial forecastsResolve additional funding/substitution needs as requiredPrepare project closeout documentation in accordance with Hilton standardsPerform compliance duties such as the set-up and maintenance of internal controls and SOX complianceSupport team by working with Fixed Asset Accounting Controller on accounting for capitalized legal fees, development bonuses, and intangiblesReport results to others and explain and decipher findingsDevelop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with other finance departments and corporate departmentsCollaborate with manager to establish specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish project/department goalsAttend staff meetings pertinent to work assignmentsWhat are we looking for?We believe the success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:Working knowledge of Power BI is advantageousUnderstanding of principles and practical application of GAAPResearch and respond to information requests from internal departments and managementExcellent written and verbal communication and comprehension skillsAbility to work well under pressure and effectively handle multiple, concurrent demands and appropriately prioritize responsibilitiesExceptional critical thinking and both quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with the ability to utilize logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative or conclusions to problemsAbility to exercise sound judgment and decision-making skills to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and to provide recommendations for optimal solutions.To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:One (1) year of professional experience in AccountingProficiency in ExcelIt would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:BA/BS/Bachelors Degree and/or MA/MS/Masters Degree Accounting, Finance, Business, or related fieldThree (3) years of professional experience in AccountingExperience with Capital ExpendituresWhat is it like working for the client?The future of hospitality is bright: a leading global hospitality company with a diverse portfolio of world-class brands.
