Job Title:Finance Administrator at Metro Elevator Coastal Inc.Location:Hybrid; either within commuting distance of North Charleston, SC or Savannah, GAJob Summary:As the Finance Administrator at Metro Elevator Coastal Inc., you will report directly to the division President. This is a true "jack of all trades" role that plays a crucial part in overseeing and optimizing the company's accounting, financial, and administrative operations. The role requires a strong understanding of financial management, including responsibility for cash, accounts payable and receivable, and accurate financial reporting. With a detail-oriented and highly organized approach, you will ensure that our financial and administrative processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with the division's overall objectives, contributing significantly to our operational success and financial health.Employment Status/Expectations:Full TimeJob Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):AccountingProcesses vendor setup, purchase orders, AP bills, and records paymentsManages T&M billing, recurring contract billing, and estimates/billing for modernization, construction, and large repair projectsPrepares and posts receipts, deposits, purchase orders, invoices, refunds, and other standard bookkeeping tasksReconciles general ledger accountsDevelops and prepares financial and operations reports from company-specific programsPerforms month end close procedures, including bank reconciliations and the month-end checklistExecutes monthly expense/credit card reports in a timely manner; codes, approves, and downloads BMO OneCard transactions into accounting systemProcesses ACH and bill paymentsInputs standard journal entriesPerforms analysis on P&L and customer accountsAdministrativeProvides administrative support to company leadership as well as the mechanicsOversees daily cash management - balances, reporting, and best practices with cashReviews and processes employee reimbursementsFills out vendor credit applicationsManages fleet vehicle insurance, registration and paymentsPayrollWorks with Director of Operations on reviewing timecards for mechanicsResponsible for new employee onboarding and termination processingProcesses weekly payroll and weekly union 401(k) processingManages and maintains monthly employee union benefits and vacation trackerAccurately inputs payroll journal entries in accounting systemQualifications:5+ years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping OR a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar fieldDesired Skills:Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneouslyA solid understanding of accounting/bookkeeping procedures including crediting and debiting appropriate accounts, posting entries to ledger accounts, and reconciling accountsAdvanced Microsoft Office skills (especially Microsoft Excel), with an ability to become familiar with company-specific programs and softwareStrong verbal and written communications skills, especially with customersHas a "positive, can do" attitude with exceptional interpersonal skillsAble to work well under pressure and meet all deadlinesWorks well in a team environment and with upper managementCompensation and Benefits:Salary commensurate with qualificationsMedical, dental, vision, LTD, and life insurancePaid time off401k plan with employer matching contributionEqual Opportunity Employer:Metro Elevator is committed to providing reasonable accommodation as an Equal Opportunity Employer to applicants with disabilities.
