Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
  • Experience executing full-cycle FP&A functions including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and modeling within a multinational company setting.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, CFA, or other similar qualification).
  • Experience leading cross-functional project teams through problem-framing, problem-structuring, and project management skills.
  • Experience with SQL and data visualization tools.
  • Ability to grow in a changing, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to communicate insights and reasoning to a wide range of stakeholders, including highly technical management teams.
  • Excellent quantitative modeling skills.

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.

In this role, you will support the Cloud Networking product management and engineering teams to build the network products that promote a web of cables, machines, and programs that connect data center resources to everywhere in the world. These network components are sold to customers, sometimes with value added features, to enable Cloud customers to build the best cloud based network for their use cases. You will help our partners deliver amazing products while managing profitability from top line to bottom line.

From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $117,000-$167,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Partner with Engineering and Product leadership to evaluate long-term financial plans, investment strategies, and new technology and product launches.
  • Contribute to financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and allocation processes. Automate and scale financial processes.
  • Drive actionable analyses and recommendations for investment prioritization, resource optimization, and efficiency improvements.
  • Apply business judgment to develop a wide variety of reporting, analytic tools, and key performance indicators (KPIs) and to construct an understanding of how to optimize infrastructure cost and to guide business decisions and inform on performance of programs and agreements.
  • Work with data sets. Solve difficult, non-routine analysis problems, applying advanced analytics methods as needed to develop easy-to-understand financial models with multiple scenarios for evaluating agreements and decisions.
