We empower our people to stay resilient and relevant in a constantly changing world. We're looking for people who are always searching for creative ways to grow and learn. People who want to make a real impact, now and in the future. Does that sound like you? Then it seems like you'd make a great addition to our team.

Transform the everyday with us!

We are looking for a Finance Analyst to join Siemens Grid Software. This position will be based in Minnetonka Minnesota. Remote work may be considered based on the candidate's qualifications and experience. Remote eligibility is generally limited to current Siemens employees or candidates with a proven track record of success in remote work environments

As a Finance Analyst, you will support financial reporting, planning, forecasting, and performance analysis across assigned cost centers and organizational units. You will partner with business leaders, shared services, and corporate finance teams to deliver accurate reporting, improve financial transparency, strengthen compliance, and provide insights that support sound decision-making in a fast-evolving business environment.

You'll make an impact by:

  • Performing month-end and quarter-end financial close activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, while resolving posting issues to maintain data integrity in alignment with Siemens policies.
  • Coordinating cost center and headcount accuracy with HR and management to support reliable financial reporting.
  • Preparing planning templates, assumptions, and financial models for budget and forecast cycles, while partnering with cost center owners on annual budgets and analyzing key variances for management.
  • Preparing, validating, and maintaining management reports and dashboards that provide visibility into key business metrics and performance drivers.
  • Analyzing financial and operational data using tools such as Tableau or Power BI to deliver actionable insights.
  • Supporting procurement, vendor processes, audit activities, internal controls testing, and transfer pricing documentation as needed.
  • Identifying process inefficiencies and automation opportunities and contributing to finance digitalization initiatives.
  • Acting as a finance business partner to Sales, Pre-Sales, HR, IT, Procurement, Real Estate, Shared Services, and Corporate Finance.

You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in finance, financial analysis, controlling, FP&A, or accounting operations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data integrity skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Experience supporting month-end close, forecasting, reporting, and cost center financial management in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with visualization and automation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Power Automate, Copilot, Power Pivot, Power Query, or Alteryx.
  • Experience in Siemens or a similarly complex global business environment.
  • Solid understanding of month-end close, accruals, reconciliations, and cost center accounting.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and communicate financial insights clearly to business partners and management.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office and SAP skills, including experience with FI/CO, COPA, or PCA.
  • Experience working with large datasets and translating analysis into clear business insights.
