The Panther Group is hiring a Finance Business Systems Analyst for a short-term consulting opportunity supporting a leading university environment in Boston, MA.  This is a hybrid role with 2 days on-site in Boston. 

This role will focus on supporting Workday Finance operations, enhancements, troubleshooting, and business process improvements across multiple finance stakeholder groups.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Workday Finance professional who enjoys partnering with business users, solving complex system issues, and supporting enterprise finance applications in a collaborative environment.

Please Note: There is no Visa sponsorship available and no C2C / subcontracting for this role.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Tier-2 functional support for Finance teams using Workday Finance and related systems
  • Troubleshoot system issues, identify trends, and support resolution of defects and enhancement requests
  • Gather and document business requirements from Finance stakeholders
  • Translate business needs into scalable Workday Finance solutions
  • Configure and maintain Workday Financial modules based on operational requirements
  • Support the full software development lifecycle including:
    • requirements gathering
    • testing
    • configuration
    • deployment
    • end-user support
  • Lead meetings with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Escalate critical system issues and production defects as needed
  • Provide reporting and updates on enhancement requests, issues, and project status
  • Partner with IT teams on integrations, implementations, and system support activities
  • Assist with testing, validation, and user acceptance activities for system updates and enhancements
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Technology, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5 years of hands-on Workday Finance experience required
  • Strong experience supporting:
    • Workday Financial Data Model (FDM)
    • Accounting
    • Banking
    • Financial business processes
  • Experience gathering business requirements, writing use cases, and supporting testing efforts
  • Strong understanding of system enhancements, defects, and support processes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with:
    • Workday Projects
    • Workday Adaptive Planning
    • Workday Reporting
  • Experience supporting enterprise Finance systems in higher education or large enterprise environments
  • Prior experience working with integrations and cross-functional IT teams
Pay is $70 - $89 per hour Depending on experience
