We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Finance Clerk to support the daily financial operations of our organization. In this role, you will help ensure accurate processing of financial transactions, maintain financial records, and contribute to the fiscal integrity that enables us to deliver essential healthcare services. Our Mission is to eliminate gaps in health outcomes for all members of our community by providing access to quality, affordable, preventive and primary health care.
 
 
POSITION PURPOSE
The Finance Clerk will be responsible for preparing, submitting, and following up on accounts payable, accounts receivable and assisting with financial reporting. 
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
  • Enter Accounts Payable invoices and receive/match all PO with purchasing software.
  • Process and disbursement of all AP checks weekly.
  • Handle inquiries from vendors.
  • Maintain A/P system records.
  • Completes daily bank deposits and reconciliation of bank activity for all sites.
  • Conducts quarterly cash audits at all health centers.
  • Assist with preparation of monthly journal entries including charges, adjustments, depreciation, accruals and allocations.
  • Assist with monthly general ledger maintenance.
  • Maintains tracking of inventory equipment and furnishings.
  • Performs other related duties as they are assigned.
 
 
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:       High School Degree or GED Required. Associate Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:              Successful completion of in-house training.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:              Experience in accounts payable, payroll and/or general ledger responsibilities is preferred in lieu of a degree.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
  • Understanding of accounting activities, including but not limited to general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Computer experience, skill and typing ability sufficient to operate the Microsoft Dynamics system.
