The Finance Coordinator at Patria Church supports the financial operations of the organization across all campuses and departments. This role provides accounting oversight, budget administration, financial reporting support, compliance coordination, purchasing administration, and operational finance leadership. The Finance Coordinator serves as a strategic partner to campuses and departmental leaders by supporting budget development, expenditure management, financial planning, reporting analysis, and organizational stewardship initiatives. The position assists in maintaining financial systems, strengthening internal controls, coordinating audit preparation, supporting banking activities, and ensuring compliance with established financial policies and procedures. The Finance Coordinator collaborates closely with the Finance Manager in overseeing day-to-day finance operations while developing a comprehensive understanding of organizational accounting, budgeting, reporting, compliance, and financial management functions. The role contributes to accurate financial records, informed decision-making, operational consistency, and responsible stewardship of organizational resources. The Finance Coordinator helps ensure all campuses, departments, and ministry leaders receive timely financial guidance, reporting support, and budget accountability throughout the organization. The position requires strong financial acumen, analytical thinking, attention to detail, initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a growing organizational environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Operations and Accounting Administration
- Support daily accounting operations and financial administration activities across the organization.
- Prepare and review account reconciliations, journal entries, supporting schedules, and financial documentation.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes.
- Maintain accurate general ledger records and support financial documentation.
- Monitor accounts payable, vendor payments, reimbursements, and purchasing transactions.
- Assist with accounts receivable activities, invoicing processes, cash & check management along with revenue tracking.
- Support payroll administration, payroll reconciliations, and payroll-related financial reporting.
- Maintain fixed asset records and supporting depreciation schedules.
- Coordinate banking activities, deposits, account administration, and cash control procedures.
- Review financial transactions for accuracy, appropriate coding, approvals, and policy compliance.
- Maintain organized financial records in accordance with organizational standards and retention requirements.
- Assist with sales tax reporting, regulatory filings, and financial compliance documentation.
- Support financial audits through preparation of schedules, documentation, reconciliations, and supporting records.
- Maintain compliance with organizational policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support implementation and maintenance of financial systems, software platforms, and reporting tools.
Budget Administration and Campus Financial Partnership:
- Support daily accounting operations and financial administration activities across the organization.
- Partners with campuses and departmental leaders to support budget planning and financial stewardship.
- Assist with annual budget development, preparation, and consolidation processes.
- Monitor budget performance and expenditure activity throughout the fiscal year.
- Review departmental spending trends and identify variances requiring follow-up or analysis.
- Prepare budget-to-actual reports and financial summaries for ministry and operational leaders.
- Support campuses with financial planning, purchasing processes, reimbursement requests, and expenditure management.
- Provide guidance regarding approved financial procedures, purchasing standards, and budget expectations.
- Assist ministry leaders with financial questions, budget requests, and reporting needs.
- Coordinate financial onboarding activities for new campuses, departments, ministries, and organizational initiatives.
- Support church-wide initiatives, organizational growth projects, and special assignments as directed.
- Track organizational commitments, purchase requests, and budget allocations.
- Support responsible stewardship through proactive communication and financial accountability.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information, employee compensation data, and organizational records.
Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare recurring financial reports, dashboards, and management reporting packages.
- Compile financial information supporting executive leadership decision-making.
- Assist with forecasting activities and long-range financial planning initiatives.
- Analyze budget performance, spending trends, and operational financial results.
- Coordinate with vendors, technology providers, and internal departments regarding financial systems and processes.
- Develop reports and supporting schedules requested by leadership, auditors, and external partners.
- Identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improved financial performance.
- Assist with special financial projects, operational reviews, and organizational initiatives.

Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the preferred degree requirement.
Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or financial administration.
- Demonstrated experience supporting financial reporting, account reconciliations, budgeting, and month-end close processes preferred.
- Experience in nonprofit, church, educational, or other multi-department financial operations preferred.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional projects, strategic initiatives, and organizational priorities.
- Proven experience using accounting software, payroll systems, banking platforms, and financial reporting systems.
- Background in budget administration, purchasing, expense reconciliation, or financial tracking.
- Experience supporting audits, compliance reviews, and financial reporting requirements preferred.

- Continuing education or specialized training in accounting, nonprofit financial management, payroll administration, auditing, or financial compliance is beneficial.
