Job Details
We are seeking a Director of FP&A to build and lead the company's financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and business analytics function. This person will serve as a strategic partner to the executive team and cross-functional leaders, providing the financial insights needed to make smarter decisions around growth, profitability, customer acquisition, product expansion, and channel strategy.
The ideal candidate has deep experience in high-growth CPG and omnichannel businesses, with a strong understanding of DTC, subscriptions, retail/wholesale, customer acquisition economics, CAC/LTV, retention, and contribution margin.
This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys operating in a fast-paced environment, building processes from the ground up, and turning complex data into clear recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the company's annual budgeting, long-range planning, forecasting, and monthly financial planning processes.
Build and maintain sophisticated financial models across DTC, subscription, retail, wholesale, and other omnichannel revenue streams.
Develop and monitor key growth and profitability metrics, including CAC, LTV, retention, churn, conversion, AOV, contribution margin, payback periods, and customer cohorts.
Partner closely with Marketing and Growth teams to evaluate customer acquisition spend, channel efficiency, marketing ROI, and overall unit economics.
Analyze subscription performance, including subscriber growth, retention, churn, reactivation, cohort behavior, and lifetime value.
Partner with Sales and Commercial teams to evaluate retail expansion, wholesale opportunities, pricing, promotions, trade spend, and channel profitability.
Develop scenario analyses and financial models to support new product launches, market expansion, pricing decisions, and strategic investments.
Provide executive leadership with clear, actionable insights into business performance, risks, opportunities, and forward-looking trends.
Establish meaningful KPIs and dashboards that give leadership a real-time view of the health and trajectory of the business.
Partner with Accounting to ensure accurate monthly reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Lead monthly financial reviews and communicate results and key drivers to senior leadership.
Build scalable FP&A processes, reporting infrastructure, and analytical capabilities as the company continues to grow.
Support strategic initiatives, fundraising, M&A, and other corporate development activities as needed.
Develop and mentor FP&A team members as the organization scales.
What We're Looking For
8+ years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance, or strategic finance experience, ideally within high-growth CPG, consumer, ecommerce, or subscription businesses.
Strong experience managing omnichannel business models, including DTC/ecommerce, subscriptions, and retail/wholesale.
Deep understanding of CAC, LTV, cohort analysis, retention, churn, contribution margin, and customer economics.
Demonstrated ability to connect customer and commercial metrics to financial performance.
Strong financial modeling and forecasting capabilities with exceptional Excel/Google Sheets skills; experience with modern BI/analytics tools is a plus.
Experience partnering cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Ecommerce, Operations, and executive leadership.
Highly analytical, but equally strong at communicating financial insights to non-finance stakeholders.
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where priorities evolve quickly.
A builder mentality — someone who can create structure, improve processes, and scale an FP&A function rather than simply maintain an existing one.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
