Finance & Human Resources Specialist
POSITION OVERVIEW
This role sits at the intersection of Finance, Accounting and HR Administration. It is designed to improve day-to-day throughput, create consistency across processes, and provide reliable support across employee lifecycle and financial operations.
You will own a mix of transactional accounting work and core HR administration, with a focus on accuracy, organization, and follow-through. This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable moving between systems, managing details, and keeping processes on track.
This is a remote/hybrid role that requires occasional onsite requirements in Chagrin Falls, Ohio.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Accounting & Finance Support
- Process Accounts Payable (AP), including invoice entry, approvals, and payment tracking
- Accounts Receivable (A/R) responsibilities include invoicing, cash application, and collection follow-ups
- Assist with basic account reconciliations
- Provide support for month-end close processes (posting routine journal entries, maintain amortization and deferred revenue schedules)
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation
- Assist with finance administration tasks, reporting, and coordination with leadership
HR & Payroll Administration
- Administer payroll through Rippling, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Support benefits administration (healthcare, retirement plans, enrollments, changes)
- Manage employee data and HRIS workflows within Rippling
- Coordinate pre-boarding and onboarding processes, ensuring a smooth new hire experience
- Handle state registrations for new hires and ensure proper tax setup
- Maintain compliance with multi-state employment requirements
Compliance & Operations
- Manage Workers’ Compensation registrations and ongoing administration
- Maintain required documentation and ensure compliance across HR and payroll processes
- Support audits, reporting, and internal documentation as needed
- Help create and maintain simple, repeatable workflows across HR and Accounting functions

- Experience with QuickBooks Online, Rippling, Hubspot a plus
- Remote SaaS company, multi-state company experience is a plus
Remote/Hybrid role with occasional onsite responsibilities in the Chagrin Falls, Ohio area, including mail pickup, conference material coordination, and other operational support as needed. Office attendance is not otherwise required.
