Position Summary

Lids offers a comprehensive internship program across multiple professional disciplines in the fast-paced world of sports, retail and fashion.

Students will work at the Lids Corporate Office in Indianapolis, IN under the guidance of mentors while engaging in real career-related activities. Interns will have the opportunity to present their business projects to the Lids Leadership team and other key members of the organization. The program is designed to complement and expand the students' classroom education and offers an opportunity to gain marketable career experience.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze operational data to identify trends, efficiencies.
• Performing financial modeling and analyzing corporate spend to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Analyzing sales trends to update sales forecasts.
• Preparing ROI analyses for capital projects and marketing initiatives.
• Partner with inventory accounting teams to analyze inventory flow and cost efficiency.
• Reconcile sales, tender, and chargeback data across store and ecommerce channels.
• Collaborate with interns and cross-functional teams on projects and presentations.
• Testing own code changes, as well as developers code changes.
• Working with implementation team to merge code throughout the test and production environments.

Job Required Knowledge and Skills

• For consideration to participate in the internship program, an applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be a full-time student pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher degree in a Finance/Analytics/Accounting related field at an accredited college/university or attending an accredited 2-year college/university.
• A selected student must be present for the duration of the internship from 06/01/2027 - 07/31/2027.
• This internship is full on-site at our corporate office in Indianapolis. If not local, you must be willing to relocate to the Indianapolis area for the summer.
• Expected to graduate between December of 2027 and May 2028 (Junior Status).

Physical Demands & Requirements

• Ability to constantly sit at a desk in a sedentary work environment.
• Ability to frequently use a computer, keyboard, mouse, and other standard office equipment.
• Ability to occasionally stand and walk throughout the office.
• Ability to occasionally lift or move items up to 15 pounds.
• Ability to frequently communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to occasionally present information to small and large groups, including team members and leadership.
• Ability to constantly view electronic/written materials and adjust focus when needed.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Work Environment

• Onsite office work environment.

Standard business hours from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., flexibility may be provided upon request.
