Overview:

The Treasury department requires an intern with skills and competencies to handle daily operations and provide continuous support throughout the department.  This individual will assist the Manager of Cash and Finance and Sr. Treasury Analyst in completing daily functions.

Responsibilities:
  • Support senior Treasury personnel in managing the company’s financial obligations and timely payment of vendor invoices.
  • Gathers all vendor invoices and supporting documentation, including but not limited to; wire transfers, retainage, payroll, credit invoices, etc.; and batch process daily through the Accounts Payable System.
  • Prepare monthly journal entry and balance accounts related to TXCP interest expense and associated fees and interest receivable on temporary investments.
  • Running the daily reports.
  • Verifies check status with issuing bank; including accounts payable checks, customer refund checks, legal checks, and payroll and pension checks.
  • Perform Bank fee analysis.
  • Other functions as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance;
  • Prior Internships in Accounting or Finance preferred;
  • Strong Computer Skills Required – knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented
