Description Future CFOs wanted! Amazon seeks a Finance Manager to partner with a Special Projects team that takes the company's Think Big leadership principle to the max, with no industries or subject areas out of bounds. You will play a key role among innovators, entrepreneurs, builders, and dreamers that are transforming bold new ideas into high-impact strategic initiatives, with the goal of creating entirely new products and services. As Finance Manager, you will operate independently and cross-functionally to drive financial strategy and deliver results in a fast-moving, start-up environment. Assignments will be ambiguous and demand a highly analytical, intellectually curious leader with sharp judgment who can evaluate situations through the lens of the customer, business owner, and financial investor. You must be strategic in vision, rigorous in analysis, and proven in managing competing priorities while influencing decisions through compelling financial narratives, data-driven recommendations, and creative alternatives. This role requires regular engagement with business and finance leaders. Key job responsibilities ? Lead finance support for new business cases including opportunity-sizing, financial modeling, scenario analysis, validating assumptions, etc. ? Partner with cross-functional teams across programs to ensure operating plans deliver strong returns on investment and sustainable, long-term growth ? Influence strategic decisions by developing analyses, frameworks, and actionable recommendations to senior leadership ? Evaluate and steer business plans encompassing pricing, monetization, roadmap, resourcing, and investment allocation ? Define and analyze key metrics to measure business and financial performance; surface insights that accelerate improvement ? Own end-to-end P&L planning and analysis as well as financial controllership and launch readiness activities Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience Preferred Qualifications - 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience - MBA, or CPA - Knowledge of SQL/ETL - Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
