Description We're seeking a dynamic financial professional to become a critical partner in shaping Amazon's strategic financial landscape. In this pivotal position, you will play an instrumental role supporting processes that are essential to Amazon's financial planning capabilities by partnering broadly across the Finance organization to translate complex numbers into compelling narratives and insights that guide executive leadership. Key job responsibilities - Develop comprehensive financial bridges, narratives and strategic documents for executive leadership, covering monthly, quarterly, and annual planning processes - Develop daily and periodic company-wide revenue reports to communicate topline performance to Amazon's executive leadership team. - Collaborate proactively with business finance teams using a customer-obsessed approach to ensure data accuracy and alignment of financial reporting - Create guidance and workback plans to support key financial review meetings and processes - Utilize advanced financial systems to conduct deep-dive analyses and generate executive-level summaries A day in the life Your day will be a dynamic blend of financial analysis, strategic collaboration, and impactful storytelling. About the team We are the central hub of financial intelligence at Amazon, providing strategic support directly to Amazon's highest leaders. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science) - 7+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - 7+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience - Experience communicating results to senior leadership - Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) Preferred Qualifications - MBA, or CPA - 7+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience - 7+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) - Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
