Location: On-Site, Fort Worth, TX

About the Role:Aoka is seeking an experienced accountant to oversee the company's financial operations and serve as the primary point of contact for all finance-related matters. This role is responsible for managing accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cash flow, financial reporting, and banking relationships while ensuring accurate financial records and compliance. The Accountant will work closely with company leadership, sales, operations, and offshore accounting staff to support Aoka's continued growth and financial stability.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including at least 2 years in a finance or accounting management role.
  • Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bookkeeping.
  • Experience preparing financial statements, reconciliations, cash flow reports, and financial forecasts.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary finance contact for Aoka leadership and clients on financial matters.
  • Manage the company's accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, payroll, banking, and cash flow operations.
  • Supervise offshore accountants and ensure accuracy, quality, and timely completion of accounting tasks.
  • Prepare, review, and submit invoices while following up on outstanding receivables and resolving billing issues.
  • Process vendor payments, payroll, independent contractor payments, shareholder distributions, and loan payments.
  • Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks, including expense categorization, reconciliations, payroll entries, and tax-related transactions.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, including the Profit & Loss Statement, Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash Flows.
  • Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and ensure adequate funding for payroll and operational expenses.
  • Develop monthly, quarterly, annual, and three-year financial forecasts and provide KPI reporting to leadership.
  • Support budgeting, financial analysis, commission calculations, fee analysis, and operational decision-making.
  • Assist with tax compliance, audits, and maintaining financial records that support regulatory requirements.
  • Review financial terms within contracts, including Master Service Agreements, when required.
  • Manage finance-related workflows, reporting schedules, recurring tasks, and documentation using Trello and other internal systems.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $90,000–$110,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications
