El Segundo, CA | Hybrid, 3 days in office
Industrial Color is seeking a highly analytical and business-minded Finance Manager to support the Global Finance team of a leading beauty brand on a contract basis.
Candidates must currently be based within reasonable commuting distance of El Segundo, CA. This is not a remote position.
This role combines financial planning, budget management, performance analysis and business partnering to support key commercial decisions and ensure strong financial discipline across the organization.
The ideal candidate enjoys building strong financial foundations while partnering with the business to drive better decisions. Success in this role requires someone who is equally comfortable managing recurring financial processes as they are supporting strategic business initiatives.
This position is best suited to candidates with approximately 5–8 years of relevant finance experience, including strong FP&A, commercial finance or strategic finance exposure. We are particularly interested in candidates from beauty, cosmetics, consumer products, retail or other fast-paced brand-led environments.
Requirements
Financial Planning, Budget Control & Performance Management
- Monitor budget performance, analyze variances and provide actionable financial insights
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting while maintaining strong financial controls
- Own recurring planning cycles and ensure deliverables are completed accurately, efficiently and on time
- Drive continuous improvement in financial planning processes, reporting and operational effectiveness
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure sound financial governance and disciplined resource allocation
- Partner with the internal control team to ensure compliance with policies, audit requirements and corporate governance standards
- Support audit activities by maintaining appropriate documentation, strengthening control processes and ensuring timely resolution of audit findings
Business Partnership & Decision Support
- Partner closely with Marketing, Business Development, Supply Chain and other cross-functional teams to support business decisions
- Develop financial analyses and business cases to evaluate investments, product launches and cost-efficiency initiatives
- Translate financial insights into clear recommendations for business leaders
- Identify financial risks and opportunities and proactively recommend actions
Strategic Projects & Process Improvement
- Support ad hoc strategic initiatives and special projects as business needs evolve
- Build financial models and scenario analyses to support decision-making
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance financial processes and business performance
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, Mathematics or another quantitative discipline
- 5–8 years of experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, Strategic Finance, Investment Banking, Management Consulting or a related finance function
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience using AI-enabled productivity tools to improve efficiency, automate routine tasks and enhance financial analysis
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Highly proactive with a strong ownership mentality
- Exceptional analytical rigor and intellectual curiosity
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and solving unstructured business problems
- Strong executive communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex analyses into clear business recommendations
- Collaborative and comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
- Must currently be based within commuting distance of El Segundo, CA and able to work onsite three days per week
Preferred
- Experience in beauty or cosmetics strongly preferred
- Experience in consumer products, retail or another fast-paced commercial environment also highly relevant
- Experience supporting Marketing, product launches or brand-related financial decisions
- MBA and/or CPA is a plus
- Experience working in complex, matrixed organizations

This role is particularly well suited to an experienced Senior Financial Analyst ready to take the next step into Finance Manager responsibility, or a Finance Manager operating at a similar level.
Candidates whose recent experience is primarily at the Controller, CFO, VP Finance or senior executive level may be overqualified for the scope and level of this position.

Benefits
The anticipated salary range for this role is $100,000 - $125,000 annually. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience, and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
This is a hybrid role requiring flexibility to work in-office and remotely. Evening or weekend work may occasionally be required during major projects.
