Description If you are curious about the Amazon Stores business outside the US and want to work with the full P&L, the International Consumer FP&A team is the place for you! FP&A is the place to learn the business from top to bottom-from customer trends that impact topline growth, to retail evolution like Quick Commerce, to how macroeconomic events impact the global business-this team investigates all of these and more. We directly support the International Stores CFO and SVPs through reporting, planning, and insights. We are looking for an individual who is curious about the business and wants to develop their finance career through regular interaction with senior finance leaders. We are seeking a Finance Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for FP&A processes like actuals reporting, long-range forecasting, quarterly guidance, and planning. You will work with Finance teams from EU, Japan, and Emerging FP&A, Operations, Prime, Payments, and more to find and communicate the story behind the numbers. The role entails asking questions and learning about the business, while looking for the key details that leaders need to act on business risks and opportunities. You will learn, through frequent interaction, how finance leaders think about the business and what they focus on to drive performance. Good communication skills are key. You will develop your writing skills on narratives that inform senior leadership of what is happening in the business. Key job responsibilities - Work cross functionally with FP&A teams on future-looking forecasts and actual performance. - Enhance reporting to reflect business changes and identify opportunities for scalable automation - Produce financial and business results including variance analyses for senior leaders. - Own financial planning and analytics models. - Identify, develop and implement process improvement initiatives - Perform real-time analysis and data support for leadership questions Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience - 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience - 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience - 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience - 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience Preferred Qualifications - 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience - 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience - MBA, or CPA - Knowledge of SQL/ETL - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) - Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
