Description North America End-to-End (NA E2E) Strategic Planning sits at the center of Amazon's Supply Chain, offering the opportunity to shape one of the largest, fastest supply chains on the planet. Our team collaborates across Amazon's Supply Chain to ensure fast, on-time delivery speed at the right cost structure by working closely with operations and finance leaders to surface insights, track performance, and drive analysis to optimize capacity planning, supply chain network design, execution, and customer experience. This role supports the Financial Planning and Reporting processes for North America Operations, partnering closely with Customer Fulfillment, Inbound Transportation, and Outbound Transportation to drive delivery of valuable financial insights across a rapidly changing, dynamic E2E supply chain network. You will also collaborate with the Standardization and Automation (S&A) team to influence the tech roadmap, driving process improvements and automation-including ownership of the financial systems and data infrastructure that power planning and reporting at scale across the network. Your primary responsibility will be driving financial insights across the E2E Supply Chain network while serving as a key steward of the FP&A systems and data ecosystem that underpins those insights. This includes managing complex financial data systems, maintaining metadata integrity, and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data that flows through planning processes network-wide. Success in this role requires a comprehensive understanding of the E2E Supply Chain, FP&A planning processes, and the technical systems that house and surface critical financial data. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who leads with curiosity and is comfortable navigating through ambiguity-including the complexity of large-scale financial data systems and the metadata structures that define them. They have a demonstrated ability to influence business owners, support thoughtful decision-making, and adapt to a rapidly-evolving environment. You should be comfortable collaborating with various business units across Amazon, bringing excellent verbal and written communication skills. A typical day provides opportunities to innovate by building creative solutions for intricate planning processes, identifying high-priority work that maximizes results for key stakeholders, and solving complex problems that affect company-wide strategic decisions. Key job responsibilities - Drive E2E Supply Chain cost strategy by partnering with business and finance teams across the transportation network-surfacing insights, identifying optimization opportunities, and making informed recommendations in ambiguous, data-limited environments. - Own & manage the FP&A systems and data infrastructure supporting Outbound network planning-maintaining metadata accuracy, governing data hierarchies, and ensuring integrity across complex, interconnected financial systems at scale. Drive the technical roadmap through automation, process redesign, and scalable solutions that increase data reliability and reduce manual effort. - Synthesize cross-functional inputs across Customer Fulfillment, Inbound Transportation, and Outbound Transportation to identify cost drivers, flag risks, and align operational and financial plans. - Drive critical business decisions through clear, concise communication of complex financial matters, adapting style for various audiences and delivering compelling written and verbal presentations. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience - 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience Preferred Qualifications - 5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience - 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience - CPA, or MBA - Knowledge of SQL/ETL - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) - Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
