Job Details

The Role:
The Finance Manager is the financial lead for one of our production sites and a full member of that site’s leadership team. You will own the accuracy of the site’s books and cost reporting, and you will be the person operations leaders turn to when they need to understand what is driving results. The role reports into our corporate finance group and has one direct report.

What You Will Do:

• Own the site’s ledger and deliver a clean, on-time close every period
• Produce and stand behind the site’s cost reporting
• Build the annual site budget with input from each department, and track performance against it
• Sit down with operations leaders to walk through results and answer their questions
• Spend time on the production floor to understand why actuals differ from expectations
• Keep product structures and costing data accurate as products change or launch
• Support inventory counts and reconcile the results
• Oversee payables and make sure company financial policies are followed on site
• Serve as the site’s expert on the finance side of the business system
• Coach and develop one finance team member
• Pull together support for audits

What You Bring:

• A degree in accounting, or the experience to match
• Several years in a manufacturing business, including hands-on cost accounting
• Solid technical accounting fundamentals
• Curiosity: you want to know why a number moved, not just that it did
• Comfort explaining financial results to people outside of finance
