The Finance Manager for the Education Business at ETS plays a critical role in ensuring financial integrity, visibility, and strategic support across a broad and evolving portfolio of offerings and initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of accounting and finance, with a strong emphasis on revenue and expense recognition, contract validation, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), and business partnership with leadership. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical expertise, executive communication skills, and a proven ability to align financial insights with business goals.

  • Support accurate application of revenue recognition in month end reporting and forecasting cycles
  • Review contracts to determine appropriate revenue treatment, including multi-element arrangements
  • Partner with Accounting to ensure timely and accurate month-end and quarter-end close processes related to revenue and expenses
  • Lead contract review and validation processes to ensure alignment between contractual terms, billing, and revenue recognition
  • Reconcile contract values to billed and recognized revenue, identifying discrepancies and driving resolution
  • Establish and maintain controls over contract setup, amendments, and financial tracking
  • Own forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning processes for Education
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support revenue forecasting, margin analysis, and scenario planning
  • Analyze actual results vs. forecast/budget and provide clear variance explanations and insights
  • Deliver actionable recommendations to improve financial performance and operational efficiency
  • Serve as a strategic finance partner to Education leadership, providing insights on performance, risks, and opportunities
  • Support pricing strategies, investment decisions, and partnership evaluations through financial analysis
  • Translate complex financial data into clear, concise narratives for non-financial stakeholders
  • Drive financial discipline and accountability across the business
  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, improve data integrity, and enhance reporting capabilities
  • Support system implementations or enhancements related to financial reporting and contract management

Required Experience:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting
  • Strong technical skills in financial modelling, forecasting tools (EPM, Netsuite), and advanced excel
  • Proven ability to manage complex data sets and synthesize insights for decision-making
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • The base salary range advertised represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. The base pay is only one aspect of the Total Rewards Package that will be offered to the successful candidate.
