**Overview** Aspire to develop the ultimate skill set of a Chief Financial Officer? We make Microsoft here in Core Financial Planning & Analysis. Our team is responsible for finance-wide leadership of key processes and technical analyses. Process leadership includes coordinating hundreds of controllers, across dozens of businesses and channels, through our core rhythms, such as financial data management (managerial accounting to interpret results and support business decisions on resource allocation) and planning (target-setting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting). Analytical leadership includes assessment of company-wide impact related to foreign exchange rate fluctuations, statutory tax exposure, cash flow and capital strategy, consolidated forward-looking guidance, valuation of businesses for accounting and strategy, and financial benchmarking across peer companies and the technology landscape. Our stakeholders comprise the Board of Directors, the Senior Leadership Team (CEO, CFO, and Executive VPs), executive staff (Corporate VPs), finance leadership (CFOs and controllers), and functional teams across the company (Corporate Strategy and central teams). Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.?? **Responsibilities** As a Finance Manager on our Planning team, you will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Board of Directors (BOD) reporting lead to directly support CFO deliverables needed for strategic decision making and internal and external guidance. You will have first-hand experience at the heart of a world class CFO organization with an active role in quarterly close, forecast and BOD processes. This role is structured to have components of the traditional rhythm-of-business close as well as ad-hoc projects and analysis based on both business need and the finance manager's interests. Your responsibilities will include slideware preparation, compilation of reporting slideware from multiple contributing teams company-wide, content management, data alignment and audit, note taking in review sessions, management of follow up actions and ad hoc analysis. The role will have visibility and provide support to all of the CFT FP&A processes that assemble and manage the consolidation of Microsoft's financial results and forecast at quarter end. Successful candidates for this role will understand how to drive pre-cycle readiness and build partnerships with key process contributors. This includes demonstrated communication skills to collaborate with different finance and tools teams and set dates, deadlines and deliverables that enable successful CFO rhythms for the company. This role offers both breadth and depth, requiring the ability to scale big processes that flow financial data across multiple organizations as well as detail orientation to anticipate underlying dependencies. Example responsibilities: + Manage change and drive opportunities for efficiency and automation across CFO financial rhythms + Synthesize consolidated reports and analysis to facilitate business decisions with executive leadership + Deliver high quality CFO materials while applying judgment and managing multiple deliverables to create clarity in fast paced and time bound rhythms + Enable the adoption of AI capabilities by closely engaging in training initiatives and applying to day-to-day responsibilities + Support the transition to S4 SAP systems **Qualifications** **Required/minimum qualifications** + Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field + OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, finance, or related field + OR equivalent experience. **Additional or preferred qualifications** + Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 3+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience + OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 5+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience + OR equivalent experience. + Communicates effectively across teams and with executive leadership to align on goals, while managing multiple inputs and prioritizing desired outcomes. + Adapts to ambiguity and fast-paced change, applying system thinking and strategic perspective to solve complex problems. + Brings energy for a high-performing team culture, working through large-scale challenges, delivering fast with quality and a growth mindset. + Builds trusted partnerships across finance and business teams to uncover opportunities, deliver insights, and support decision-making. + Demonstrates curiosity and a growth mindset, translating analysis into actionable cross-functional solutions and fostering collaboration across stakeholders. Financial Analysis IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $77,800.00 - $153,700.00 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $102,200.00 - $169,900.00 per year.
