Finance Manager  
Global Specialty Chemical company is part of a global production network delivering high-quality specialty materials for diverse industrial applications. Together with a dedicated team, we operate and continuously improve the site with a strong focus on safety, operational excellence, and sustainability.

We are currently seeking a Finance Manager to join the local Leadership Team. In this role, you will oversee site-level financial management activities, including reporting, planning, compliance, and business partnering. You will collaborate closely with shared services teams and local stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting aligned with global standards and applicable accounting principles, while also supporting strategic initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all accounting and financial reporting activities for the site in close collaboration with shared services teams.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting while identifying financial and operational trends.
  • Prepare statutory accounts, tax filings, and VAT submissions in compliance with local regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements while maintaining a strong internal controls environment.
  • Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes, partnering with finance and operational stakeholders to align financial plans with strategic objectives.
  • Act as a trusted finance business partner to site leadership by delivering data-driven insights to support investment decisions, operational improvements, and profitability initiatives.
  • Support regional and global process improvement, digitalization, and finance transformation initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive finance experience, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of local GAAP and working knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS.
  • Experience with statutory accounting, tax compliance, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively in a matrixed, international environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business partnering capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in German and English required.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
