Job Title: Finance Site Lead
Location: Team based in Joplin, MO
Type: 2 month contract
Compensation: $100-110/hour depending on qualifications
Contractor Work Model: Remote – offsite
Hours: 40.0

Overview
We are seeking a Finance Site Lead to serve as a strategic business partner within a manufacturing environment, supporting plant operations through financial planning, analysis, reporting, and operational decision-making. This role works closely with site leadership to drive financial performance, strengthen internal controls, support continuous improvement initiatives, and provide actionable insights that enhance operational efficiency and business results.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and execution of annual operating plans, financial forecasts, and monthly close activities for the site.
  • Monitor plant financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and support action planning to achieve operational targets.
  • Support productivity and cost improvement initiatives through financial analysis and operational partnership.
  • Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Perform periodic reviews and self-audits to maintain audit readiness and safeguard company assets.
  • Partner with plant leadership to provide financial insight on operational strategies, capital investments, and business initiatives.
  • Deliver timely reporting, variance analysis, and performance metrics to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and corporate finance teams to support plant objectives.
  • Analyze manufacturing and operational data to identify trends, improvement opportunities, and value-added recommendations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of operational excellence and accountability.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of accounting or finance experience, including at least 1 year in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as Sage or similar platforms.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships across departments and organizational levels.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and accounting principles.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations in a plant environment.
  • Experience with SAP in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Experience supporting operational improvement or productivity initiatives.
