PayBright is a rapidly-growing merchant services company serving businesses nationwide. We operate in a fast-moving, highly regulated environment where accuracy and execution matter.

We are hiring a Finance Specialist to support the day-to-day financial operations of the business. This role focuses on executing critical operational processes that keep money moving accurately - billing merchants, reconciling transactions, resolving discrepancies, and managing outstanding balances. While this position supports finance activities, it is not a traditional accounting role.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process daily and monthly merchant billing, including service fees and transaction-based charges
  • Reconcile merchant deposits, processor reports, and internal system data
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies across financial records
  • Monitor accounts receivable and support collections efforts on overdue balances
  • Maintain accurate operational records and documentation to support audits and compliance requirements
  • Prepare recurring reports related to billing, reconciliation, and collections activity
  • Support month-end and year-end close through reconciliations and other operational finance activities
  • Respond to internal and merchant inquiries related to billing and account activity
  • Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors
  • Ensure compliance with PCI standards, financial regulations, and internal policies
  • Provide support for audits, reporting, and finance-related projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (finance, accounting, or a related field preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in finance operations, billing, reconciliation, or collections
  • Experience in financial services or merchant services strongly preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Proficiency with other AR/AP software is a plus

  • Hybrid schedule (on-site in Raleigh, NC four days per week)
