Description LEO (Low Earth Orbit) Government Accounting PMO team has an immediate opening for a Finance Transformation Manager. This role supports and directly influences the launch of LEO Government product and programs across multiple verticals: satellite manufacturing, ground gateway terminals and customer terminals and Technology support teams. The program manager will work closely with the partner financial systems teams, accounting operations teams, tax, finance operations, and others on new initiatives to provide integrated accounting requirements to the LEO Government business teams. Successful candidates will have experience in SAP, Government Accounting, GAAP Accounting, Program Management and Financial Systems. Candidate experience should cover financial processes, project management, GAAP accounting requirements documentation, process design, user acceptance testing and operational readiness responsibilities. Demonstrated experience in leading programs to accomplish unusually complex challenges is expected as this is an ongoing requirement for this position. This position is expected to have a general knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards CAS), and an ability to navigate SAP and represent accounting interests to business and tech team stakeholders. This position requires a strong sense of ownership, a passion in solving problems and delivering results, ability to identify process improvement opportunities, drive positive change across the organization, and enhance partnerships between accounting and various business and IT groups. Key job responsibilities - Document Accounting requirements to cross functional stakeholders. - Coordinate issue resolution of key architecture decisions between Business, Accounting, and Technology teams - Review Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and how best to implement accounting requirements within the SAP modules (Inventory, AR, AP, Manufacturing etc..). - -Ensure migration to new SAP modules in accordance with GAAP principles. - Build project plans for accounting workstreams, identifying goals, needs, and scope - Draft Accounting Requirements Documents (ARDs) and related Journal Entry Mappings (JEMs) that meet customer needs - Continuously identify/ track and mitigate program risks and issues and accelerate decision making. - Own accounting test planning and user acceptance testing - Draft ad hoc issues based documents for leadership review - Own leadership review and status update documents and meetings A day in the life Plan and prioritize daily and near term activities, represent Accounting's interests during project rollout planning initiatives - Join weekly team scrum to discuss past/current activities and potential blockers - 1:1 with manager to deep dive program risks - 1:1 with key business stakeholder to unblock a project workstream - Meet with business stakeholders to review end to end process and detailed accounting use-cases while gathering feedback to drive clarity for solution design - Explaining CAS and GAAP differences to stakeholders and senior leaders. - Work on Journal Entry Mappings file ahead of accounting stakeholder reviews - Prep for the weekly leadership status meeting - Respond to emails, wrap up day and set upcoming priorities Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
