Please reference position Financial Accountant in the subject line of email.National Fuel is currently seeking a Financial Accountant for an outstanding career opportunity in the Accounting department at our Williamsville, NY headquarters.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Preparation of various corporate financial statements, SEC filings, regulatory reporting, benefit plan, and other management reportsConduct analysis of financial results and account balances to identify and effectively communicate key variance drivers to managementLead or assist on projects relating to the adoption of new accounting and regulatory guidance, automation of department processes and controls, and other areas that support executive management decision makingDevelop and apply an in-depth understanding of the Company's industry, business segments, and operations to support the Company's financial accounting and reporting processComplete special projects, as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in AccountingMinimum of 2+ years of experience in public accountingWorking knowledge of U.S. generally accepted accounting principlesProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsExceptional analytical and organizational skillsDependability and attention to detail along with initiative, professionalism, and excellent interpersonal and communication skillsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:5+ years of experience in public accountingCPA certification (or willingness to pursue if not yet attained)MBA or Master's in AccountingCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:The base salary range for this position is $75,000-$90,000.The job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of pay that National Fuel believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job. The specific base pay offered to a successful applicant will be based primarily on relevant professional experience. Other components that may be considered include individual qualifications, licensures, industry specific experience, education and market demands for specialized skills. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors.
